Use of mangrove leaves (Rhizophora mucronath) extract as a biofertilizer for seed germination

ABSTRACT
The aqueous fresh leaf extract of Rhizophora mucronata Lam. is used for germination of Triticum aestivum (Wheat) and
Brassica juncea (Mustard) seeds. The seeds treated with the aqueous extract showed high percentage of germination as well
as longer root and shoot length as compared to control and other commercially used biofertilizer like Sargassum treated
seeds.
